Oxygen on commercial flights

Why in-cabin oxygen has to be prepared well in advance.

Oxygen on board a commercial flight depends on each airline's own process: accepted source, flow rate, medical documentation and request deadlines.

A requirement measured on the ground can increase in flight because of reduced cabin pressure, so the assessment must anticipate that margin.

Subject to airline approval and clinical suitability.
